So you most likely want to stack endurance as much as possible for high health, and then your other stats gear for damage.Ĭoming from WoW, tanks are pretty much trash in PvP because the one thing they brought to the table was excellent survivablitiy, but they nerfed that a while back and it's now nearly pointless to play a tank in PvP. Oh, and as the guy above said, the built-in "tank" stats (shield, absorb, defense) are not that useful in PvP (because of the way the player abilities work, vs. ![]() You'll usually focus on protecting your healers (if any) first, and then your other team mates that have a clue. Taunt does nothing to healers.Īnd you may have noticed from these two descriptions, that guard and taunt are useless to you if the enemy is attacking YOU.Īnd then you want to your your many CC abilities to generally harass and prevent the enemy from attacking your team. When the enemy team is trying to focus all DPS on a single target to bring it down fast, instead it forces their damage to be split over two people.įor taunt, when you taunt an enemy it does not force them to attack you in PvP, but instead reduces their damage by 30% (I think 30, right?) if they attack anyone ELSE besides you. In PvP, put your guard on a team mate that is being attacked, and it transfers 50% of the damage they take to you. Your guard and taunt abilities work different in PvP vs. Depending on whose posts and which threads you decide to believe, they are even way over powered to the point of unkillable. Tanks are fine, and actually useful in PvP. ![]()
